Since the 1990's, many developed countries in the world have carried on one new curriculum revolution in the field of the basic education. Furthermore, it became a trend quickly. There is a common characteristic, that is, different researching courses are open. In the turn of the change of centuries, our education Department claimed that our students would learn a new course——the inquiry learning based on learning the experience from Shanghai and foreign countries. The author has been focusing on its development for more than one year. The article analyses it based on the real situation. There are thinking and eulogizing to the realization and opining and organizing to the future. Through searching for the agreement from the realization and the future, the author hopes that the article will be helpful to the further development of the inquiry learning in our schools.The article can be divided into five parts including some charts. The first part is the foreword;The second part tells the general situation about the inquiry learning. In this part it tells about some present models, some achievements and some obstacles in the further development;The third part talks about the essence of the inquiry learning. In this part the author lists the definitions to the inquiry learning, definites the value and aim to the curriculum and analyzes the content of it;The forth part tells how to carry it on in a school. The main idea of this part includes the reorganizations to a central organization, how to link interest between students and teachers, analysis of the curriculum resources, and the assessments to it;The final part is the view on the future.
