Children's Moral Language

The thesis introduces the Language of Morals that is a new direction in the study realm of the children's moral development. It analyzes children's moral language in the context of daily life by means of the meaning analysis of language philosophy and sets forth the character of children's moral life.The theory background of the article includes elements of semeiology, theory of speech acts and Richard Mervyn Hare's theory of the Language of Morals. The Language of Morals is a land of prescribing language that directs individuals to make varieties of choice of deeds and the decisions of principles. The directives and the value judgement are the two forms of the Language of Morals. The article construes the concrete character of children's usage of directives and the value judgement of "good child", and some behavior strategies, the standards of the moral evaluating and the image of "the good and evil" in young children.Finally, the article compares the children's own moral life with the institutional life created by the education for children and concludes that the moral education should be carried out in children's free life.
