To solve maths problems is the main way of improving the ability of the maths thinking strategy for the students of senior high school. Meanwhile, mastering the thinking strategy is the key to learn how to solve maths problems for the students of senior high school. Based on the previous data and the experimental research, this paper demonstrates the necessity and possibility of the thinking strategy training of Analytical Geometry problems solving for the students of senior high school, and further explores its approaches and mechanics. This paper is of great value in probing into the innovation of mathematics teaching at high school and bringing forwards a teaching pattern for promoting the overall quality education at high school. This paper adopts the textbook of Analytical Geometry for senior high school and an 8-hour thinking strategy training project is conducted on the students from Grade 2 of the Attached Middle School of Southwest China Normal University with. The results are as follows: The subjects are overjoyed at the achievements of solving the problems and this in turn enhances their interest in Analytical Geometry. There is apparent effect of thinking training. The training enables the subjects proper strategies for solving problems and significantly improves their ability in dealing with problems. The subjects make remarkable progress with their academic study. The subjects have a high assessment of thinking strategy training, and believe that it is very helpflul for their thinking.
