Way Of Life In The Process Of Modernization With Comprehensive Human Development

The connotation of life style and human being's all-round development is different at different times. The changes of social life always fill new connotations into them. As a result, though the relevant study on life style and human being's all-round development has been carried out for a long time, we must study further to meet the needs of era. Human being's all-round development is a basic aim at socialist and communist society, and Marxism classical writer thought that it was required by the human being's development. At present, human being's development embodies the talented, educated youth with discipline. Life style is an important category among Marxism theory. There is a close relation between life style and human being's all-round development. During the course of modernization, their relation has practical expression. One side, modernization has enhanced life style's progress and human being's development. The other side, the crisis of life style and human being's development have arisen at various degree in west developed country and our own country. Then, form what aspects have the phenomena appeared And what are the reasons to cause them appear What relations do they have with the modernization background What should we do to build a new life style to enhance human being's all- round development All these will be examined and studied in this thesis. This thesis has three parts. The first part expounds the relation of life style and human being's development theoretically, giving prominence to the influence of life style on human being's development. It will lay a theoretical foundation for the rest of thesis. First, the influence of life style on human being's development expresses itself from two sides. The analysis of the relation of between personal life style and social life style, it can be concluded that life style is a means to train new people and promote human being's development. The construction of life style can provide material and intellectual means of livelihood for human being's development to a special social background and real life stage. Second, the analysis of the features of life style at different times indicates human beings are gradually shaking off the reliance on the external nature, human being's nature and community in order to develop their individuality, enlarge social association and enrich the demand, etc. These indicate that human being's development is a direct standard to judge life style's progress. Third, the analysis of the relationship between life style and human being's requirements, the relationship between human being's development and requirements, shows that human being's requirement is a medium of life style and human being's development, and they integrate on social practice. The course of continuous social practice is also a course of human being's reform. Thereby, when human beings are freeing themselves from the control of blind necessity and become social relation's master, life style and human being's all-round development will reach real perfection to some extent. The second part mainly discusses the question about life style and human being's development during the process of modernization. It is true that life style is progressive and mankind is developing as a general trend. But some questions have surfaced unavoidably.
