Objective:Working memory refers to the individual in the execution process, temporary storage and processing information of energy limited system, is considered to be the individual differences in the process of complex cognitive performance even is the core of the most important factor. Deaf children due to its own defects, cognitive ability significantly worse than normal children, one of the important reasons is that deaf children’s working memory is poor. So it is necessary for deaf children’s working memory to have targeted education and training, so as to promote their cognitive development, improve their quality of life. Existing studies confirm that aerobic exercise can effectively improve the deaf children’s working memory capacity, but it is lack of research of brain mechanism. Therefore this study aim to explore the influence of moderate intensity aerobic exercise to deaf children working memory brain activation patterns, from the perspective of brain systems to reveal the effect of aerobic exercise deaf children’s brain mechanisms of working memory. Methods:This study take retardation of deaf children’s working memory as the research object, selecting standard of deaf children participants to 26, divided into aerobic exercise group (14), the control group (12), the aerobic exercise group implement four times a week, every 30 minutes, for 11 weeks of moderate intensity combination plan (figure running+Wushu Gymnastics+rope skipping) exercise intervention, the control group at the same time for routiner big recess activity. All of the subjects have a fMRI scan during the working memory task before and after the intervention.Results:11 weeks combination aerobic exercise intervention make deaf pupils during working memory task (F (1,29)= 15.08, P 0.00< 0.01) significantly higher accuracy, the participants in the working memory task of significant changes in brain activation patterns, main show is: bilateral parahippocampal gyrus, bilateral precuneus, bilateral cingulate gyrus, bilateral lateral prefrontal cortex, the left frontal pole area, left superior temporal gyrus significant activation. Conclusion:There is a positive impact on improving the working memory of deaf pupils with 11 weeks combination of moderate intensity aerobic exercise intervention. The reason is that the aerobic exercise can induce deaf children’s working memory has a positive change on brain activation patterns, to improve deaf children’s executive function.
