Daily education administration should be emphasized for its profound impact on the development of university students. Based on the Marxist theory of human’s comprehensive development, theory of ideological and political education, and motivation theory, this thesis makes a comparative research on the status quo of daily education administration between Chinese and American universities and proves the positive correlation between the quality of daily education administration and the development of university students, which is composed of four parts as follows:The first part makes a study on the content of daily education administration in universities and its important role in talents cultivation. Daily education administration should focus on the ideological and political education for university students and efficiently implement the instructive work on the development of university students on the basis of student affairs administration. Moreover, this thesis analyzes the great influence of daily education administration on the development of university students from the perspective of cognition, emotion, volition, and behavior.The second part explains the status quo of daily education administration in Chinese universities as well as the relevant problems from the aspects of idea, content, implementer, and system.The third part draws the conclusion from the comparison of idea, content, implementer, and system of daily education administration between China and the United States on the foundation of an empirical research on Southwest Petroleum University and University of Pennsylvania.The fourth part gives some recommendations for daily education administration with the purpose to promote the comprehensive development of university students. Daily education administration should be reasonable in its ideas, scientific in its content, efficient in its implementers, and complete in its system.
