In the face of a vast amount of information, citizens in the 21st century need to use critical thinking to distinguish between right and wrong and to solve the problem. Critical thinking can help people thinking skillfully and reliably, it has a certain standard, but people’s thinking process can be automatically adjusted, and then, helping people make effective judgment and decision-making.Traditional Chinese mathematics education pays attention to cultivate students of "double-base", students have a strong basic knowledge of mathematics and ability to solve problems, but they lack of mathematical thinking and ability of asking mathematics questions. In view of this, mathematics education of high school can provide background for the cultivation of critical thinking and skills including analysis, reasoning, evaluation. critical thinking can help students to cultivate mathematical ability, can be more conducive to learn math for students.In the present curriculum reform of " Guiding case " teaching, with the help of teachers secondary developing the teaching material and comping " Guiding case ", providing the roadmap between self-study before class and Cooperative exploration for students, making students have more time of independent thinking before class and the opportunities of cooperative exploration, cultivating the students’thinking ability preferably. Therefore, According to the psychological characteristics and learning situation of senior high school students, Based on ways to cultivate critical thinking in the mathematics teaching of primary and Middle School of America. On the basis of guiding case teaching in high school mathematics, seek to cultivate strategy of students’ critical thinking. This paper is divided into four aspects:The first part, introduction. Mainly introduced the research background, analyzes the domestic and foreign research status about critical thinking, indicating the research purpose and research methods.In the second part is the theory of mathematics learning and critical thinking. From the five aspects of the related concepts, learning case teaching essence, theoretical basis, teaching steps and so on to explain the guiding case. And defines the concept of critical thinking, and analyzing its characteristics, factors and standards, Further analyzing of the factors affecting the cultivation of high school students’ critical thinking.The third part is related investigation and analysis. This chapter uses the method of questionnaire investigation, investigating the status of critical thinking in two high school students in grade three of Xi’an city. To count and analyze the results of the survey.The fourth part is the Strategy Research and study, to explore the strategies of cultivating high school students’ critical thinking based on mathematical learning case. Mainly from the training requirements to teachers’ critical thinking of teachers, do the preparatory work, with critical thinking and skills in design guidance case. From the three aspects of before class, in class and after class, through to create a democratic, free and harmonious classroom atmosphere, increase the teaching content of uncertainty and generative, cultivate students’ funny cooperative inquiry method and discussion skills, attach great importance to the mathematical logic inference, construct multi-level mathematical logic reasoning, and guide the students to learn how to do classroom summary, section summary and thematic summary types of after-school summary and reflection to improve the students’ability of critical thinking.The innovation of this research lies in the use of the guidance case training high school students’ critical thinking, but for a shorter period of time, there is no opportunity for empirical research. There are some problems in the study, I hope to continue the follow-up study.
