| Game activities are indispensable in the kindergarten. In macro guidance of early childhood education goal, game activities are organized by the teachers to carry out preschool activity form, and it has gradually become an indispensable basic organization form of the kindergarten education program. Role play is one of the most typical games during the growing-up process of children. Role play is a kind of games in which, under specific conditions and through imitation and imagination, children act like adults or various characters in the surroundings in order to reflect the real life in a creative way. It is valuable in promoting children sociability, people communication, and emotional expression. Therefore, the current situation of children role play and the quality of children role play is an urgent problem to be further researched. Based on the practice, observing the role play games of the sample, the aim of this paper is to know the current situation of role play games’ quality and analyze the factors which affect the children role play games.The research objects of this research are 50 junior kindergarten kids in Dalian, the author did the observation and recording for three months. By using observation, interview, and case analysis, through the recomposed observation scale of children role play quality, and the analysis, recording and scoring of performance of the 50 kindergarten kids in theme role play games for four times, the results are as follows:1. By analyzing the four-time role play games among the 50 kindergarten kids, the conclusion is that the quality of children role play games is above the normal average level. One of the items which is called game interests is above the perfect level. Six of the items which are above the normal average level are concentration degree, perseverance, language expression, performance desire, creativity and verisimilitude of role play. Three items which are called the game motivation, partners contacting and ways for solving problems respectively are about the normal average level. While the children organization abilities are below the normal average level. Therefore, the quality of the role play games of the sample should be further improved.2. Through the scores of children role play games, the typical cases and the consequence of teachers’ interview, the factors which influence the role play quality include rationality of the game space, richness of game materials, the relevance of activity design and the fitness of the teachers’ guidance.Based on scores about the quality of role play games in junior kindergarten, and taking the consequence of the teachers’ interview into consideration, the suggestions are as follows: Kindergartens should make good arrangements of the game space. The relevance and richness of themes in role play games should be strengthened, and the themes may also come from children’ life. When deciding the themes, the kids should be involved into the discussion. Teachers should give the appropriate guidance to role play games, and teachers should reduce the control of children’s games and give appropriate intervention. Teachers should pay more attention to the evaluation after the games and lead to children to do more observation in their life. |
