Since the 1990s, curriculum reforms all over the world have placed great emphasis on the transformation of study method. Inquiry learning is becoming a worldwide topic in the field of education. Our country’s new round of basic curriculum reform has also presented the idea of Inquiry Learning. "Geography Inquiry Learning" is the result of introduction the Inquiry Learning method to Geo-education. This paper focuses on the way of Inquiry Learning practiced in Geo-education.This paper has six parts.Chapter 1 introduces the background and significance of the topic, the current situation of Inquiry Learning in the USA, France, the UK, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and our domestic development of Inquiry Learning.The second chapter discusses the theoretical basis of the inquiry study, to departure carried discussed from three angles of the philosophical foundations, learning theory and teaching theory.Chapter 3 discusses the connotation of the research study. In order to more clearly understand the research study, the writer takes discrimination between inquiry learning, discovery learning, self-learning and group cooperative learning.Chapters 4 and 5 are the main part of the paper. The fourth chapter describes the geography inquiry study of the main design process, including geography inquiry learning object design, the geography inquiry study design, the content of geographical inquiry study implementation process design and evaluation design.The fifth chapter is based on the fourth chapter of the content. The writer selected election of three topics, from classroom teaching and extra-curricular thematic studies, choose the subject, and then, depending on the goals and forms, designed three cases of different topics, different forms, and different method.The sixth chapter is the conclusion and discussion.
