HPS(History, Philosophy and Sociology of Science) is the new orientation of the current international science education research, it is advocated that the contents of History, Philosophy and Sociology of Science into secondary school education, in order to improve students’scientific literacy.Although HPS education has got the extensive concern of science and education, the fusion of HPS and interdisciplinary education in high school is still relatively weak, especially the geographical discipline. So this paper will put the focus on the teaching material of geography education, chose the Content Analysis Method to explore the integration with HPS and geographical education.On the basis of introducing some theories and concepts of HPS, this paper takes the full range of 10 high school geography textbooks published by People’s Education Press for example, doing analysis of the HPS education. It mainly consists of HPS content analysis and presentation mode analysis. Content analysis involves the amount of content and internal constitution, the distribution of textbooks and specific categories. Presentation mode analyzes from three aspects, the system and structure, the article length and pictures form.Based on these analyses, the paper put forward five suggestions on the integration with HPS and high school geography textbooks as follows:1. Increase the quantity of integration;2. Consideration to categories’distribution and proportion;3. Strengthen the integration of "Scientific Characters";4. Pay attention to little links like "Annotation";5. Can increase some cases which had localized.The conclusion are drawn at the last:On Content analysis, HPS has a small quantity and the volume of content distribution has a strong bias. On presentation mode analysis, the structure is mainly in the form of "text", and it exists differences between compulsory and elective textbooks. The article length and the pictures form all have a moderate degree of integration.
