With the development of intelligent technology, the robot gradually came into the classrooms in primary and middle school education. Robot competition is also known as one of the ways to promote the progress and the popularization of science and technology. Search and rescue robot competition is the more common competition in primary and middle schools. To complete the search and rescue mission successfully, the robot should solve these three key problems:walking, search, location. This paper takes the "virtual robots" as the experimental platform to research the design of the search and rescue robot and the implementation strategy. Rational design of the robot, adaptation of the optimization strategy, and application of this design and strategy to other search robot competitions can contribute to good results in the competition.Firstly, it put forward the core problem virtual robot rescue competition needs to solve, analyzed the commonly used algorithms and strategies of line tracking walking, and found the applicability and deficiency, proposing to use the algorithm and strategy for tracing card sensor of robot and optimizing the tracing speed and line strategy card robot.Secondly, it introduced robot trajectory of walking and positioning algorithm and strategy, and put forward a single infrared distance sensors to walk straight along the wall of the optimum strategy, the compass to correct the pose orientation strategy. According to the site map segmentation task, it classified the no trajectory environment, found a relatively optimal robot walking path, and put forward the positioning of robot walking under different conditions of the site environment. Through the experiment, it proposed sensor settings, optimization method, and several methods to improve the overall performance of the search and rescue robot.After that, the experiment in virtual robot rescue simulation platform verified the effectiveness of the algorithm. The experimental data showed that the results of experimental method were obviously better than the existing strategies. Mainly in theδ following aspects: walking speed, high stability, search accuracy, and accurate positioning.Finally, it put forward some thoughts on search and rescue robot in primary and middle schools.
