| The current research on the excellent traditional culture make no unified and rigorous definition of excellent traditional culture. Through reference to previous research results and considering the subject of this study, "The excellent traditional culture" is defined as the core of traditional culture and the ancient literary and historical works, mainly including the ancient Confucian classics, history, philosophy, literature, enlightening education classics and the related ancient culture. This study chose four different schools each with its feature as the case school, completed the investigation research on the practice of in-service middle school Chinese teachers’ education of the excellent traditional culture, based on the method of interview and observation. A questionnaire survey to 11 middle schools and 105 middle school Chinese teachers provided further evidence for the above analysis.The current in-service education of the excellent traditional culture for the middle school Chinese teachers has two forms:one is penetrated with Chinese teaching and research, the other separately organized. The former is closely connected with the Chinese Teaching, with the excellent traditional culture as part of the training content, arbitrary, and without certain training time, content and frequency. The latter recently has just begun. For a start, the separately organized training is far from popularized and its coverage and frequency too low. In a word, the in-service education of the excellent traditional culture for the middle school Chinese teachers is still in the exploration and small-scale experiments stage.The middle school Chinese teachers urgently need the in-service education of the excellent traditional culture. Along with the continuation of middle school Chinese excellent traditional culture education practice, there are more requirements on the training form, content system and suitable for teaching. The in-service education of the excellent traditional culture that the middle school Chinese teachers expect, should be close to the teachers’ teaching practice, based on the teachers’ reading interest, offered on site and online, overall planning and long-term persisting to generate systematic system. In addition, proper arrangement for time and humanization management should be applied.This text explores five major problems in the current in-service education of the excellent traditional culture for the middle school Chinese teachers. There are contradictions between the urgent education need and the reality of school work, between the superiors’ propulsion and the teaching practice, between using grouping to organize training and sharing of teaching resources, between exam and teaching practice, between crash course in instructional design and slow process to the excellent traditional culture attainment.This text explores the development path of in-service education of the excellent traditional culture for the middle school Chinese teachers in the last chapter. We should implement further investigation of the current situation in the purpose of setting reasonable requirements, construct related training resources library, promote the teaching and research work, set up exchange teaching mechanism, establish the network teaching system, promote reading of the excellent traditional culture among teachers and students. |
