Gougu theorem is a great theorem in the history of mathematics, but also is a long history theorem. In the West, also called the Gougu theorem Pythagorean theorem. Until now, the people of ancient and modern research has been devoted to prove the Pythagorean theorem, where not only mathematicians but also physicists, and even a painter. According to statistics, at home and abroad to prove the Pythagorean method up to several hundred, and in varying degrees, to the Pythagorean theorem is generalized, its forms, so the Pythagorean theorem to enrich and develop. In this paper, We have a systematic study of the Pythagorean Theorem. Cites several classic and abroad prove the Pythagorean method, make a classification. Roughly divided into three categories:the area method proof that, the splicing method proof that, the theorem method proof that. And the ancient method of proof, and now Beijing Normal University, published in the textbook proof way to do a comparison, draw conclusions. And on this basis, using the analogy of the Pythagorean theorem has been generalized method on a plane, three-dimensional space to promote the n-dimensional space and triangles triangular relationship, and finally concluded to be applied with examples.
