The foundation Geography education should be open to life,cultivate geography ability that life need; Should be geared to the needs of people’s life demand, cultivate lifelong useful geography ability for students.Life need to have what ability of geography,not simply on the basis of theory to infer,but should be into the thick of life,extensive research has a certain life experiences of individual workers.Only by understanding what is geographic ability for life,to provide clear guidance for basic geography education,to effectively carry out the concept of new curriculum reform.The current research of geographic ability for people more focused on the theoretical level,to the division of geography ability structure is more,based on the perspective of pedagogy and psychology,and geographic ability structure divided difference is bigger, but there is little, based on the perspective of application of life have ability structure of geography.Study of such reality,through the investigation to understand the current situation of life need ability of geography,and on this basis to construct a geographic ability structure system in the life,then in the light of the survey system for high school students living ability training present situation,the geographical analysis of present situation reason,put forward the high school geography for life ability training strategy,provide certain reference for the high school geography teaching.Thesis includes the following six sections:Part I:Introduction. Introduces the research background and significance,research methods and ideas,research innovation,research status,research theoretical basis.Part II:Application of Geographic survey in life.By investigating the various sectors of society who understand the need to have life in which geographic capabilities. The survey found that geography in life has a wide range of applications, embodied in the direction of discrimination,disaster prevention and mitigation, the use of maps, travel routes aspects of design,weather forecasting,environmental assessment and protection,tourism activities. People for the application of geography have a higher recognition, demonstrating the value of geography.Part III:The ability to face life Geographic System. According to the survey results and cause analysis, combined with our current "high school geography curriculum standards(experimental)" training objectives,to build capacity for the life of the geographic system,specifically including disaster prevention and mitigation capabilities,the ability to identify the direction,the ability to use maps,weather forecasting ability environmental assessment and protection,tourism capability.Part IV:Survey and Analysis for the cultivation of high school geography ability to live the status quo. Ability to face life’s architecture is based on geography, geographical survey of high school students outside the province three schools the ability to get the situation and the reasons were analyzed. The survey found that the majority of students understanding of geography there are still some problems, learning geography main purpose is to deal with the entrance examination;the current high school students the ability to live for geographic gaps in varying degrees. The main reasons are:the school of geography teaching practice seriously enough,geographic measurement and evaluation system is imperfect,the current geography curriculum standards deficiencies,geography teaching methods and models insufficient.Part V:Strategies to Foster High School geography. For the current high school students for life in the presence of geographic Ability status problem, the whole idea of high school geography Ability:Building capacity to foster life geography-based educational objectives;classroom teaching anchored life of the geography classroom building; supplemented with practical activities to improve students’ geographical applications;to evaluate the system for the protection, the ability to evaluate the proposal put forward geography. For each geographic capabilities,put forward the corresponding training strategies.Part VI:Conclusion and outlook. By analyzing the building of capacity for the life of the geographic system and capacity building for high school geography status quo,concluded: Life in the main need of the six geographic capabilities,but most of these six high school students the ability to have different levels of geographic gaps reflects the problems of high school geography ability. For the current problem of high school geography education exist,from the value of geography knowledge, geography curriculum standards revision, preparation of teaching materials,evaluation methods,such as geography curriculum recommendations,the study concluded the deficiencies exist.
