A Study On The Cultivation Of Students' Interest In English Learning

Interest is the best teacher, the stage of primary school is the key period to cultivate the students’ learning interest. The new English curriculum standard point out that one of the mission of the primary school is to inspire and cultivate students’ English learning interest. Point out inspire and cultivate students’ English learning interest plays an important role in the education. Inspire and cultivate students’ English learning interest could help students build up self-confidence; help them develop good study habits. Learn English can help students broaden their horizons; increase the curiosity about the unknown world. If the English education of primary school want to help students continue develop, must realize the learning interest’s importance to the students, they should put cultivate students learning interest to an important position.However the reality of pupils’ English learning interest is warring. Cultivate students’ English learning interest is a long term, and will influenced by some elements, for example, the school, teachers, family, parents, students themselves. Thus, cultivating pupils’ English learning interest needs from several aspect. For teachers, the teachers should build a good and harmonious relationship between teachers and students. Help students build confidence of learning English, help them enjoy the English study. Teachers could use all kinds of interesting teaching methods, some kinds of games, provide interesting English resources to cultivate and improve students’ English learning interest. For parents, the parents should pay attention to help students cultivate English learning interest, provide favorable measures and build good study environment. For students, the students should realize the importance of learning English, learn how to study by themselves, students should have clear study goal and make study plans. They should cultivate and improve English learning interest actively.This paper uses literature research method, interview method, observation method and so on,study and analyze the J primary school English teachers how to inspire and cultivate students’ English study interest. This research has five parts, part one point out the research questions,introduce the overseas and domestic research status. Part two introduces the theoretical basis.Deeply discussed the cultivation of pupils’ English learning interest mechanism. Part three is research and analyzes the current situation of primary school J students’ English learning interest;summarize the elements that influence cultivates students’ English learning interest. Part four is research and analyze the teachers how to inspire and cultivate students’ English study interest,point out the specific measures. Part five according to the actual investigation and the literature analysis, point out the suggestions of how to cultivate students’ English learning interest.
