Fairy tales, as an important genre of child literature, brought to the attention of the scholars in recent years. In the Shanghai second curriculum reform in the elementary school language teaching material, selection of contents in fairy tale and adaptation is a prominent bright spot. The author through to the Shanghai second curriculum reform in the elementary school language teaching material contents in fairy tales, to sort out the situation and select the reasonable fairy contents and adaptation strategies and suggestion. Summarized the main conclusions of this study are as follows:First, The basic situation of Shanghai primary school Chinese Textbooks in fairy tale story purpose:The number of fairy tales is higher than that of other materials, and different from the each grade distribution range. The concentration and type of fairy tales mainly concentrated in the fairy tale to human body type. Secondly, Analysis of fairy tales adapting situation:rewriting with outstanding center, prepared to strengthen understanding and education requirements. Third, The existing problems:non-uniform distribution; Mainly concentrated in the fairy tale to human body type; Language understanding slightly. Finally, Put forward the proposal:Increase the classic fairy tale reading; Make good use of pantomime; Keep fairy language in language style of humor and playfulness.
