Aesthetic education, known as aesthetic appreciation and emotion education, is characterized by figurativeness, convertibility, non-utilitarianism and lifelong benefits. It is an important part of quality education and cannot be replaced by any other means of education. With the appearance and advancement of the concept of aesthetic education, its practice has ceaselessly been proceeding at colleges and universities at home and abroad. It has been proved that aesthetic education plays an unique and vital part in higher education and helps re-shape personal values of college students, cultivate national spirit and spirit of the times in them, improve the efficiency of ideological and political education and promote soft management at colleges. Having developed for a long period, easthetic education has aroused wide-spread attention at colleges in China. More and more experts, scholars and people of vision have realized that colleges, as an important place for spreading knowledges and cultures and the base of cultivating high-level talents, should view aesthetic education as a foundation of humanity education and make it play an important role as a means of education.Nowardays,the curriculum, system and faculty of aesthetic education at colleges keep being improved and completed, and its research and practice have been furthered. However, the development of aesthetic education over the country is unbalanced, with its curriculum construction lagging and faculty and teaching material lacked. The main reason is that the concept of aesthetic education has not been deeply rooted in people’s mind and the structure of it has not been completed. Aiming at the inadequate parts, the author puts forward building the combined mode of aesthetic education at colleges. In order to improve the efficiency of aesthetic education, various concepts, measures and systems are combined to help achieve its goal. Specificly, the combined mode can be figuratively described as the "1+3" mode."1" refers to one core, that is, popularizing and deepening the concept of aesthetic education. Colleges and universities should promote the publicity of aesthetic education by using all kinds of resources, and make the faculty and students gradually and increasingly aware of its importance via importing and exporting diverse forms and means. Thus, they can change their misunderstandings of aesthetic education and then accept it, value it and even welcome it."3" means3emphasises, that is, curriculum construction, construction of aesthetic education base and faculty development. Centering around cultivating creative talents at colleges, curriculum construction aims at improving teachers and students’ knowledge and quality structure, promoting their abilities to think, express, cooperate and helping them observe scientifically and judge rightly. Ensuring the course design is scientific and efficient and devoting to a combination of pertinence, profession and systematicness, corriculum construction meticulously produces a series of courses. For example, aesthetic education theories can better teachers and students’ understanding of concepts and knowledges of aesthetics An integrated practice courses system including music appreciation, art of painting, movies appreciation, dressing culture and Chinese opera will improve teachers and students’ overall level of aesthetic judgement. Construction of aesthetic education base devotes to bettering the humanistic environment at colleges and building an appealing and powerful base via present activities and carriers such as college students’ second class, ideological and political work, youth volunteer service and campus culture construction and by importing aesthetics resources and developing aesthetic education’s function. The base will become a really effective platform of promoting quality education and students’ aesthetic judgement, perfecting teachers and students’ personalities and establishing good learning atmosphere and ethics, respecting knowledges, talents, and creativity, and enhancing campus culture and coloring campus life. Faculty development refers to building a teacher’s team of mainly art teachers complemented by professional teachers and teachers with artistic skills. The team will carry out all-around, high-level and multi-dimensional aesthetic teaching activities, import and hire specialists and scholars to give large-scale lectures and supervise art activities, and eventually promote the quality of aesthetic teaching indeed.
