Language is the carrier of culture, and it is closely related with culture. Especially in China, the culture-transference of western countries depends on foreign language teachers. This paper implements collation and investigation regarding "the knowledge of culture" of the senior high school English teachers’pedagogical content knowledge systematically combing English. Which content of "the knowledge of culture" should the teachers consider? What is the actual situation? What are the sources of the knowledge of culture? How much influence of the knowledge of culture on teachers’ teaching design? This paper is mainly to solve the above problems. Meanwhile, the paper investigates teacher education content and teachers’satisfaction of their "knowledge of culture". The paper adopts both the qualitative research and quantitative research. The main research methods of this paper include document analysis method, questionnaire investigation and interview. The questionnaire data is collected from a senior high school in Nan Jing. Through the text analysis, the questionnaire investigation and interview the paper investigates and analyses sources of "the knowledge of culture" of senior high school English teachers’PCK, the impact of knowledge of culture on the teachers’ teaching design. Finally, according to the results from the investigation’s data, the paper puts forward the related proposals.Results of the research:1. The main sources of cultural knowledge of senior high school English teachers’PCK are these, namely:their own experience as a student, summaries and reflections of their own teaching experience, findings of education and scientific researches, courses for improving educational degree, teaching practice, school conferences and English teachers’ meetings.2. Impacts of cultural knowledge of senior high school English teachers’ PCK on their teaching designs are mainly those on the key points and difficulties of teaching, teaching and evaluation methods, teaching activities, teaching objectives of each period and reflections after class.Proposals for teachers:1.communicating with both colleagues and students positively;2.improving the self conscious learning ability and read more professional books;3.taking the influence of cultural consciousness on the teaching effect into consideration while design the teaching plans;4.studying the English expressions of Chinese culture in order to mitigate its aphasia;5.increasing the learning of cross cultural contents during the teacher training;6.keeping in pace with the times and update stored knowledge.
