In this paper, we aim to the study on feasibility of network assisted English writing teaching in junior high school, with the purpose of finding new methods to improve teaching skills, and helping to solve the problems that teachers and students have to face with. In this study, we take Xueloong.com as a basic platform, which provides teachers and students some free, simple and convenient services. During three semester’s research, we have studied on some important topics, such as how to use the platform as an auxiliary tool to improve teaching skills in English writing and how to make some analysis and reflections for teaching process.This thesis can be divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction which introduces the background, the necessity and the process of our study. The second part states the theoretical basis for the study work. The third and the fourth parts are the key points of the thesis, which expound the purposes, objects, methods and procedures of this study. In these two parts, we also conducts a period of three-semesters’ teaching and learning test to check the feasibility and effectiveness of this study, with the means of empirical research. The fifth part is the analysis of the results of the experiment. It shows that the students in experimental class are more active and confident than those in comparative class while writing; they are also more interested in English writing as well. The report on the interviews with the students shows that most students prefer to practice English writing on a network platform. By studying on the results of three exams, the author found that the students in experimental class do significantly better in writing than those in comparative class. The last part is the conclusion and reflections of the study. By analyzing the result of the research, the author has learnt it is true that, with the help of network platform, the students’attitude towards English writing can be effectively changed and this does help to improving students’ motivation and interest to writing. As a result, most of the students in experimental class become more confident and do better in English writing. |
