| With the development of our society and economy, leisure life plays a more and more important role in the whole life. At home and abroad, there are many theoretical and practical researches on leisure, leisure life, leisure education and moral education for leisure, while the specialized study on leisure life of pupils in the rural area is relatively rare. This thesis conducts a field study on the condition of pupils’leisure life in A Primary School at Xinxiang. By presenting the current situation of leisure life, this thesis analyzes the influence of their leisure views and behaviors on their moral growth and puts forward strategies addressing relevant issues. This study first makes a brief description and analysis and evaluation which is on real background of the A village and cultural atmosphere of leisure life as well as the material and cultural conditions for leisure life provided by A Primary School to students. Then it describes the type of leisure life and two main factors of the students’participation specifically to expound the actual state of A Primary School. Next, it summarizes the positive effects and negative effects of the leisure life of A Primary School on children’s moral growth. It concludes that the main reasons of negative feelings on leisure life of the participants lie in biased leisure views, inadequate leisure resource, and meager leisure skills. Finally, this thesis put forward feasible strategies in the same three aspects, namely leisure concepts, leisure resource, and leisure skills. The study has found that the leisure life of A Primary School pupils was divided in terms of time into on studying days and during holidays. The pupils’ leisure life need on studying days could be somewhat satisfied in terms of leisure time and leisure resource, and the pupils gave rather high evaluation on their leisure life. Their leisure life during holidays, however, was negative due to narrow leisure concept, scare leisure resource, meager leisure skills, and so on. Although their overall life of primary school pupils in rural area was positive for their moral growth, their specific leisure life played more negative roles than positive roles on their moral growth. |
