The post-modernism of education theory is the part of the post-modernism and comes from the criticism of the modern education. As a bold and incisive thought, some of its representative points, including the focus on class ecology, the emphasis of the teaching process, promote the dialogue between teachers and students, pay attention to petit narrative aspects and so on reflects the new way of thinking and value and provides a new horizon on college students’ ideological and political education innovation. However, it is against rationalism and advocates the elimination of authority and so on, so it has also brought certain negative impacts on college students’ideological and political education. In view of these, it is necessary to recognize the post-modernism of education theory correctly and analyze its influence on college students’ideological and political education dialectically, and then we can dig into and use its positive influences for reference, and avoid its negative influences.At present, combined with the post-modernism of education theory, some scholars have done some related research on college students’ideological and political education and have obtained many beneficial enlightenment. However, whether in work quantity and depth, there still have large research spaces. This paper selects the view of the reference of the post-modernism of education theory on college students’ideological and political education which has paid less attention by scholars to discuss. The paper also discusses the objective, the curriculum, the relationships between the teachers and students and the knowledge based view of post-modernism of education theory. At the same time, it analyzes its influence on ideological and political education of college students’ systematically, especially for its positive influence and experience, and it avoids the research methods which focus on the negative impacts and ignore the positive influences of post-modernism of education theory, so it has a certain theoretical value and practical significance. At the same time, considering the negative effects of post-modernism of education theory, the paper also puts forward three aspects of the solution, including the combination of the instillation and inspiration, and the theory and practice and the leadership and the subject as well.
