Research On The Function Of Sports To The Construction Of Civilian - Run Colleges And Universities

Abstract:Since the1980s, in order to improve our national education, enhance the comprehensive quality of our nation, the private colleges came into being in China. The development of private colleges provides a strong talent support and knowledge contribution to the socialist modernization construction.In recent years, the private colleges, which are under the new mechanism and model establishment, as a kind of model, to a large extent, have achieved an universal education in our country, and provided a strong guarantee to enhance China’s comprehensive cultural quality, promoted the competitiveness of China’s higher education in the world, provides a comprehensive development of talents for the society. In order to make our private colleges and universities a place in the higher educational system, the major setup, the school-running system, channels, management system, faculty construction and etc. must establish a series of measures and policies, then, it requires us to re-examine Private colleges characteristics. And the school culture is an effective way to reflect the whole campus spirit and the value orientation. Therefore, the school culture plays an important role in school development.In culture construction of private university, sports play as a manifestation mode of school culture, carrying the aim of education and the school-running characteristics. Therefore, strengthening the construction of school sports activities for private colleges and universities plays an important role in the school culture, and also create a survival condition for the private colleges. For this, the essay based on the organizational culture theory,as the main line to strengthen cohesion the whole college, taking the four representative private colleges in Chengdu as an research object, adopting questionnaire survey method, interview method, comprehensive analysis methods and etc. to research the present situation of sports activities in private colleges, the relationship between school sports activities and school culture, whether the sports can stimulate the construction of school culture. The results shows as follows:(1) the sports activities stimulate the formation of school culture, especially the publicity of the traditional sports and high level sports, which promotes the reputation of the private universities in society (2) In the process of launching private colleges sports activities, due to the limitation of the educational system, the sports material culture, system culture has been affected, and this affects the sports spirit.(3) There is little influence in the cohesion of traditional sports and high level sports teams in private colleges, which did not give full play to its functionThis article in above findings foundation put forward the corresponding proposal:(1) Pay high attention to the construction of school culture; take the sports as an important part to construction.(2) Form an influential advantage of traditional sports project; take it as the window of propaganda and carrier.(3) Strengthen the construction in the system and material in private colleges; guarantee the development of sports activities.
