Along with social progress, information technology has dominated in the waypeople work, live and learn. Changing the way people live, work, learning style orcognitive style. Children living in the era of information technology, compared tochildren growing up in their cognitive style traditional industrial society hasundergone great changes.Explore the application of information technology impact on children’s cognitive,is conducive to the healthy development of children in the new environment ofphysical, mental and intellectual, but also conducive to the education reform andimprovement. Preliminary investigations with the literature review reflectedInformation technology affect children’s cognitive development, including thepromotion of the (positive) and inhibitory (negative impact). Cognitive developmentas an important aspect of psychological development, is directly dependent on thesubject of understanding the world instinctively development. At present, educationand research on information technology and cognitive development of children aged3-4less impact analysis more theoretically discussed, the lack of empirical support.First, the paper analyzes the characteristics and influencing factors of children’scognitive development, put forward two core ideas: one is information technology topromote children’s cognitive development; and another IT inhibit the cognitivedevelopment of children.Next to my children as research subjects, both of which were analyzed accordingto the actual situation of my kids, design aided by information technology educationlesson plans and traditional education lesson plans.Finally, given some research suggests that the relationship between informationtechnology and cognitive development of children. I hope parents and educators makeuse of the advantages of information technology to promote children’s cognitivedevelopment, and avoid IT physical and psychological harm to children.
