Explain the evolution of cooperative behavior and cooperation mechanism forthe maintenance of stability of the system has been one of the important issues whichbiologists, social scientists, economists and so on are trying to solve. Evolution ofcooperative behavior is an international academic hot and cutting-edge issue. Thispaper studies the impact of gender on the game strategy options, which is a veryimportant element in the evolution of cooperative behavior. Therefore, this paperfollowes the direction of the international academic community, with a goodacademic value and theoretical significance. Meanwhile, it needs to clear the tendencyof strategic choices of men and women in the real world. Thus these experimentalconclusions has a certain reference value, which is used to influence the behavior ofmen and women. Studies on the impact of gender on the game strategy options, whichhave made many research results, but there are also some deficiencies, for example, most people do not consider the influence of gender on strategy choice underpunishment strategies, data analysis based on the Chinese participants are very few, etc. This paper makes use of zTree, which is an experimental economics commonlyused software, to design the initial strength of50two-person iterated prisoner’sdilemma game experiments. Unlike most experimental design before, in this papereach of the participants has cooperation, non-cooperation and punishment threestrategies to choose from, and participants don’t know when the experiment ends eachround, but know each pair will interact another round with probability3/4. When theinteraction ends, all participants will be randomly matched with another student andwill repeat the same task again. This paper analyzes nine experimental data, which arebasically the same in the initial conditions, a total of240college students in YunnanProvince participated in the experimrnt, among them,125male participants,115female participants.Firstly, this paper describes the experimental data in the basic statistical analysisand inference from seven different sides, and then uses three kinds of statisticalmodels to futher analyze. Studies found that men tend to be more cooperative, womentend to be not cooperative, and there was no significant difference on the use ofpunishment strategy between men and women. This is different from previous research conclusions. Same gender game group(ie. both players are the same gender)and mixed gender game group(ie. the game one party for men, the other for women),men than women are more inclined to cooperate. The use of uncooperative strategymay lead to the opponent’s punishment. The results also show that game net incomeand interaction has remarkable effect on the choice of game strategy, however, theparticipants’ professional and region has no significant impact on the choice. Thispaper argues that men than women in our country are inclined to cooperate, whilewomen tend not to cooperate, because our country female independence is not highwith an emphasis on family values, they often rely on men too much. This leads tomen than women in our country assuming more social responsibility. In order tocomplete too much social responsibility shouldered, men can only be actively seekingcooperation. However, chinese women are more concerned about family and haveless social responsibility shouldered. Therefore, they tend not to cooperate ininteraction with others.
