The Transcaucasia is repleted with numerous ethnic groups and various religionssuch as Christian, Orthodox and Islam. Since the independence of the three countries,political parties in these three countries have been engulfed in struggles regardingterritorial, sovereign, domestic and diplomatic issues. Moreover, great powers, mainlythe United States and Russian Federation has been contesting for influence over theregion. Until now, some of these conflicts see no way out.First, the political orders and economic developments of the three nations have beensuffering from severe disarray from their very independence and all through theso-called “Color Revolution”. It is not until recently has the region entered into arelative stable and orderly phase. Second, for more than two decades, ethnic issues ofthe region is still prominent. Nagorno-Karabakh, South Ossetia, Abkhazia are majorcauses for the instabilities and conflicts of the region. Third, the U.S., Russia andother regional powers’s influence over the region are constantly increasing, and theyhave been jockeying for further influence over it.Recently, with politics and economy of the three countries stabilized, theexploration of a new model of development, namely, integration becomes creative andnecessary.
