In order to improve the effectiveness of the moral education methods in our country, comparison is made between the United States and China. The characteristics and the differences of the moral education method together with the corresponding effectiveness are pointed out and investigated according to the situation of each country. Emphasis is placed on the reason why the differences exit and their influences on the effectiveness of the moral education. During the analyzing phase, the relationships between the key elements which have impact on the effectiveness of the moral education, such as the educators, the educated, the education method and the education environment, are summarized first, and then their roles are identified by integrating the actual situation of social environment. Finally, the existing problems of the moral education in China are indicated, theoretical and practical ways concerning the enhancement of the moral education effectiveness of our country are suggested to achieve the maximum benefit using the experience of that in the universities of the United States for reference.
