In order to raise more innovative talents, China carried out the new curriculum reform in the elementary education at the beginning of this century. The new curriculum reform made great adjustments at the concept of education, training objectives, course structure and content, teaching methods, teaching evaluation and others. It means higher requirements for teachers. Higher normal education is the cradle of teacher of elementary education, whose primary responsibility is bringing up qualified teachers and theoretical support to the elementary education. Requirements for teachers' ability are becoming higher, under the background, potential teachers from normal college can not well adapt to the new situation. There are many reasons for this the contradiction, the basic reason is that normal education is lack of attention and research on basic education reform, that is the reason why normal education cannot adjust itself to lead and service to the curriculum reform in the elementary education.Under the background of elementary education curriculum reform, higher normal education should be how to adjust itself to provide good theoretical support and teacher protection for the reform of elementary education, which is the central question of this research. The paper has conducted in-depth study for this issue, main tasks include the following:Firstly, search and consult a plenty of literatures to understand the status quo of elementary education curriculum reform, domestic normal education, the foreign teacher education and advanced experience. Secondly, analyze the new requirements of first-line teachers' capability in the current reform of elementary education, review higher normal colleges' problems in personnel training. Thirdly, based on the problem of talent supplying and demanding, theoretical support between elementary education and higher normal education, proposed some recommendations and strategies for the reform in higher normal education. The main conclusions of the study have:1.Higher normal education must keep the concept that services for elementary education in mind firmly, strengthens cooperation with elementary education. Both of them can work together to establish research centers for elementary education to enhance research and theoretical guidance.2.Taking the request that new curriculum reform provides for teacher's knowledge structure as the starting point, higher nonnal education should simplify the major course, enhance the proportion of the public core curriculum and the education theory curriculum to highlight pedagogical characteristic. 3.Taking the request that new curriculum reform provides for teacher's ability as the standard, higher normal education should raise the potential teachers' independent learning capability, cooperation learning capability and inquisition learning capability, through changing the teaching methods, copying high-quality teaching, actual teaching practice, etc. Higher normal education should improve potential teachers'abilities in order to lead the reform and development of elementary education.4.The sense of teaching responsibility and the personal character of potential teachers are the cornerstones of higher normal education, professional course teacher and ideological education teacher in normal college should build good atmosphere, raise potential teachers'social responsibilities and moral sentiment.The research has certainly reference value to promote higher normal education reform under the background of elementary education reform. |
