Compare The Political Identity Of The Chinese Minority In The Field Of Vision Research

Since the founding of China, the economic, politic and cultural conditions of the minorities have been improved significantly in the efforts of government's national work. But in the same time, the regional and cross-national disparity of developing still exists. The recent ethnic conflicts have brought the covert ethnic contradiction into evident violent form. The emerging of ethnic conflicts calls the constructing of political identity into question. The consequences of political identity affect the citizen's recognition and loyalty of the political system, as well as the stability of the regime directly.The main part of the thesis includes four parts. The thesis initially bases on the theory of political identity, as the specific concepts and patterns. The second part focuses on practical effects of the constructing of political identity in the USSR and the US in empirical study and comparative analysis. The positive factors influenced on the constructing of the political identity could be drawn by analyzing its conditions in economy, regime and ideology. In the third and fourth part pays attention to the current problems in the political identity of Chinese minorities. Firstly this part offers the context of the contradiction in political identity through social change and the heretic conflict contents in the traditional political culture of minorities. Then I applied the former conclusions from the comparison of the USSR and the US into the Chinese politics, and give an judgment of the current ethnic policies. Finally, possible approaches are concluded to improve the political identity of Chinese minorities.
