European Revolution In Military Affairs, European Integration

Though European integration takes Place in the scope of Europe,It attracts attention from the whole world because of the traditional influence of European nations. Now that European integration belongs to the fastest in integration in the world. This dissertation,entitled as"The European Military Revolution's Influence upon European Integration",mainly analyzes the relationship between the two and discusses how they enhance each other.This paper falls into six chapters.The introduction,which briefly illustrating the other scholars'study of European Integration from the Perspective of European military revolution, stating out the value of this dissertation and presenting the main structure of the whole dissertation.Chapter One sets forth the evolution of war in European and its historical process. And then analyzing the relationship between the European military revolution and the change of war, finally discussing how they enhance each other.Chapter Two takes three Europe countries as war case to study. Holland has been chosen as the model of firearms and the sailing boat times, and the France as the failure model of mechanization and the post-mechanization wartime while Russia as the successful model of that period. I hope those three cases can help us to understand the war's influence upon Europe.Chapter Three relates to the transformation of European society and military revolution: Firstly discussing the effect of military revolution in the European society's modernization process , then, military revolution and its relation between Europe integration is to be discussed, at last we'll focus on three pillars—NATO , Western European Union and European Union—of Europe common defense and security policy, and looking forward the future of Europe common defense.The conclusion which pointing out the organic relationship and interaction between the military revolution and the transformation of European society and Europe integration, is to help us in a more comprehensive look at the historical process of European integration, in addition to political, economic and cultural causes. And so we can make our study better than formers.
