The constitutional construction of the United States has developed for more than 200 years, it has become a model for the constitutionalism of all the countries in the world. The most important thing is that the U.S. government adjusts the mode of the development of constitutionalism according to their national economic conditions constantly, reforms it, and has achieved great success. Our country is ongoing the construction of socialist market economy, and its constitutional model is also in growth and development. Researching economic factors influencing the constitutional development of the United States is conducive to China's learning from successful experiences and learning from the failures to adapt to China's national conditions and the future development of the country better in the construction process of socialist market economy. This paper takes history as the clue to deeply analyze the economic development of every important periods of the United States and its influences to constitutionalism, in order to provide some useful thoughts for China's building the constitutional system with Chinese characteristics.
