The global economic integration has fostered the globalization of legislation, which is demonstrated in two aspects. One aspect is that more and more international treaties have been signed, the other aspect is friendly legislation cooperation among different countries has been strengthened. Affected by the regional economic integration and legislative unitization, the West African countries have established a modern legal system of business laws which benefits the West African regional economic development as well as the All African. This legal business system plays an important role in the process of unification and harmonization of West African business laws. On 17th October, 1993, Traitérelatifàl'Harmonisation du Droit des Affaires en Afrique had been subscribed by Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon and the other eleven West African countries, which resulted in the setting up of Organisation pour l'Harmonisation du Droit des Affaires en Afrique. As far as 2009, eight uniform acts ,which have referred to the fields of Commercial General Law, Company Act, interest of business group, creditor's rights, engagements, bankrupt, liquidation, arbitration and so on, had been made and aimed at regulating the business trades and the commercial behaviors in or among the member countries and promote the economic development.Methods of descriptive research and qualitative analysis research have been adopted in the dissertation. All analysis of this West African business system under Traitérelatifàl'Harmonisation du Droit des Affaires en Afrique are based the annotation of the relevant treaties and uniform acts as well as been combined by the theory and practice.This dissertation is mainly divided into five parts. The first part describes the background, the second part refers to the signing up of the treaty, the aim of the treaty, the openness of the treaty and so on. The third part is centering around the material aspects of the treaty. The fourth part involves in the application and effectiveness of the treaty. And the fifth part is about the comment on the advantages and disadvantages of the treaty accompanied with some suggestion.At present, the researches on African business legal system are not frequently seen in the academic field, not to mention the business legal system in West Africa. So far, most researches on West African laws have been taken on by the West Africa institution of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the African laws research centre in Law School of Xiangtan University. This dissertation is aimed at call up people's interest in doing research on the harmonization and unification of African laws through bringing introduction of Traitérelatifàl'Harmonisation du Droit des Affaires en Afrique.
