Nepal's Political Change On The Sino-nepalese Relations

Nepal is China's neighboring country, which has the extremely important strategic geography location. After review China-Nepal traditional relations, this thesis concerns on the latest change of Nepal political situation,analyze factors which lead the Maoism comes on stage. Finding Maoism's political thought and policies, which will be carry on in this country. Then forecast its new foreign policy trend. The author believe the Maoism will lead Nepal to carry out a new foreign policy more closer to China, change its long-term one which was more emphasize the importance of India. This thesis has analyzed the reason for such change. Since the new century, China advocated to construct harmonious world as her new diplomatic strategy. To keep such huge strategic objective on one hand, and develop new relationship with Nepal which Maoism on stage on the other hand is a tuff question for China, because the Maoism got on stage via violent method. Also the thesis lists factors of China's harmonious world diplomatic strategy, and analyzed the new challenge in China-Nepal relations. At last, after compare China's new strategic opportunity in worldwide scale and South Asian region, this thesis use SWOT analytic method separately position China's and Nepal's diplomatic strategy, thus give proposals for China to choose the diplomatic strategy in Nepal.By utilizing the SWOT analytic method, estimate China's and Nepal's internal and external environmental factors respectively, positioning diplomatic strategy of China and Nepal. The thesis draw the conclusion: both China and Nepal should adjust its strategy, China should take more aggressive one. By contrast, Nepal should take maintenance strategy, which can change base on the environment.
