| WTO rules permits members to resort to"safeguard measures"when import of certain products from other countries cause harm to its relative domestic industry. Reasonable use of"safeguard measures"is a legal exception from the justified competition atmosphere. The exercise of the measure has both positive and negative effects. The special safeguard measures are specifically set up against China, and they have a bad impact on China's export industry.Relevant safeguard measures against China are promulgated in American laws and regulations, which cause serious harm to China-US trade relations. It is very urgent and necessary to have a deep understanding about the safeguard measures of US and find relevant responding strategies.The essay starts from introduction and explanation of American laws and regulations concerning relevant safeguard measures against China, based on which responding strategies of China are suggested. The essay mainly consists of four parts. Part 1 presents the introduction and analysis of safeguard measures in the world scope; Part 2 brings the introduction and analysis of special safeguard measures against China and Part 3 focus on American laws and regulations on relevant safeguard measures against China; And Part 4 includes responding strategies of China to those measures. |
