Objective To study the probability that the regularity of white rat imbibitionsγraycan be used to estimate postmortem interval. A new method for the estimation ofpostmortem interval(PMI).Methods First of all, a white rat death model was established. Put the white ratdeath model into the constant temperature. Autoscaler FH463A was used to measurethe white rat imbibitionsγray for many times in several days constantly .The originsoftware was used to analyze the experiment dates. The relationship between thepostmortem changes of white rat imbibitionsγray and the postmortem interval wasstudied.Results At the constant temperature, the postmortem changes of white ratimbibitionsγray decreased gradually along with the incubating time elapse. Apseudo-curve relationship between the postmortem changes of white rat imbibitionsγray and the postmortem interval was found.Conclusions The results of this study indicated that the relationship between thepostmortem changes of white rat imbibitionsγray and postmortem interval. Thepostmortem changes of white rat imbibitionsγray could be an useful estimator ofPMI.
