| The filial piety culture is the feature of the Chinese culture and the core and root of the Confucianism. So, the research about the filial piety culture has very important academic value to catch the essence of the Chinese culture and the Confucianism culture and for inheriting the heritage of our traditional culture properly. Nowadays, we are progressing into the aged society, and the population of our country will reach to peak in the 50's of this century. The filial piety is of great practical significance in solving the problem of providing the old and the social security, inheriting the traditional filial piety culture critically, dealing with the relationship between the parents and children in modern society, establishing the ethic of the family, constructing the ideological morality and socialism spirit civilization , keeping the society steady and strengthening the national cohesion.This article will investigate from these aspects below: the first part, the origin and connotation and evolvement of the filial piety will be analyzed from the history and culture aspect, the aim is to catch the historical process and the essential quality of the filial piety.
