On The Social Responsibility Of Enterprises And Its Legal Regulations

Corporate social responsibility (hereafter referred as CSR) is becoming a hot topic. In fact, it's an old topic as well as a new one. Saying it's old, because the CSR can date from the beginning of twentieth century. The CSR has been developing for nearly one hundred years, while the fight of it never stops. Saying it's new, as to China, it's still a new project. So far the discussion on this project in China has been remaining in learning and understanding the western theories. Thus, there is large space for the development of the CSR study in China. Meanwhile, along with the modernization of legal system being continuously carried out in China, the CSR is endowed with time meaning, which makes it to be a new project.This thesis, titled as "Corporate Social Responsibility and Its Statutory Regulations", mainly discusses the CSR's basic concept, primary connotation, necessity and the time meaning to the development of contemporary Chinese society, all which arose in Chinese theoretical field in recent years. The article uses some excellent research achievements and implementing experience on international CSR as reference. At same time, it pays much more attention on analyzing CSR's implementation and social roots in China and acquires a conclusion that the CSR must find a way of legal system. The article also suggests a frame for initial construction of CSR legal system.By combining the criterion analysis and the demonstration analysis together and adhering to the scientific development view and the contradiction view, the author establish close contact between CSR and the theories on socialism harmonious society construction from beginning to end.
