If dispute occurs in the performance of a contract for the international sale of goods, the problem which legal norm will be adopted to resolve the dispute will appear at the same time, that is the issue of legal application of contracts for the international sale of goods. Different legal norms adopted may lead to different results in the settlement of dispute of a contract, the issue of legal application, therefore, has great effects on the interests of the parties of a contract .This thesis mainly introduces and analyzes the basic principles of legal application in contracts for the international sale of goods ,and international treaties, trade practices and domestic laws which can be adopted in the contracts as applicable law so as to provide some effective suggestions to perfection of the corresponding legislation. Besides the above, the thesis also analyzes and researches into the issue of legal application in electronic contracts of international business. The paper consists of 5 parts as follows:Chapter 1 makes a simple introduction on definition and characteristics of contracts for the international sale of goods and legal application, and the reasons why the issue emerges, its importance to the parties concerned of a contract and so on.Chapter 2 mainly elaborates two basic principles-Autonomy of Will and theMost Significant Relationship which could usually be adopted to determine the applicable law of a contract, and evaluates the present situation, the future trend and other aspects of the both principles.Chapter 3 researches into application of international treaties, trade practices and domestic laws in contracts for the international sale of goods, mainly analyzing the application conditions and some problems existing in the application of the three sources of law in the contracts.Chapter 4 focuses on legal application of electronic contracts of international...
