Trade And Investment Integration With The Wto Rules Of Interactive Study

Trade-investment unification is an important performance of economic globalization. So-called trade-investment unification is a new interna- tional economic phenomenon which means that international trade and international direct investment mix together and depend on mutually. This kind of unification show not only a high consistency and synchronization on time in trade and investment but also an interaction between international trade and international direct investment. Therefore, under this condition,paying attention and studying to the development of WTO trade and investment rules have realistic meaning.The writer research by the method which combine the law and the economy analysises , first, tries from the lately development of the economic theories about international trade and international direct investment to analyse trade-investment unification .In the traditional international economic theories ,trade and investment are researched isolatedly without a systematic analysis .Post-war, along with the fast development of the international investment and the multinational company, the relations between trade and investment become more and more close, which put forward a challenge to the traditional international economic theories.Economists start to notice the correlations between international trade and international direct investment, in theories , there appears a trend that these two permeate and mix mutually.At the same time, with the development of economic globalization, the relations between trade and investment is more and more close.They are two methods to distribute resources between courtries in the world,and all can promote the growth of economy greatly.The relations of them changed from replacement and complement to currently equal importance and mutual acceleration under the global strategy of multinational company.secondly, under the ground of the analysis metioned above,the writer further explain that now the extention of the feild adjusted by WTO and the merger of the rules on trade and investment are just because of trade-investment unification.The WTO are established in 1995,and its role changed from promoting trade liberalism to promoting trade and investment both liberalism.Futhermore, in order to promote these two liberalisms it made " rules of thegame" and coordinate the trade and investment policies of mumber states.The Uruguay ground extended the range of international trade from the trade of goods to the trade of service ,the intelligent property right and the international direct investment, and drew up 《the GATS》 , 《the TRIPS》 and 《the TRIMS》 ,thus made a law foundation for the trade-investment unification. In the frame of WTO the trend that investment rules blend with trade rules is already obvious.At last,through the research to the trade and investment rules of the current WTO and the analysis to the developing trendency of the future WTO,we can think that, China has already joint into international division system.Facing to the challenge and opportunity China should participate actively in making WTO rules which are benefit to developing countnes.At the same time ,according to the requirements of WTO,China shoule adjust the national laws and combine trade and investment policies together consciously so as to make national economy increase quickly.
