Build Multinational Technology Transfer And Jiangsu Regional Innovation System

There are many foreign direct investments (FDI) in Jiangsu province. However the effect on improving the levels of science & technology by technology transfer of multinational corporations (MNCs) is not obvious. The reasons are that on the one hand, the sophisticated technology introduced from MNCs is limited, on the other hand, the advanced technology being introduced has not been mastered and there is not enough technical innovation. As a relative undeveloped region, the backwardness advantage of Jiangsu has not been exerted availably. It fails to convert the advanced technology into its own. Based on the theories of international technology transfer, the paper analyzes the characteristics of the technology transfer of MNCs and the specific situation of the technology transfer of MNCs in Jiangsu, studies the relations between technology transfer of MNCs and innovation of science & technology in Jiangsu, indicates that utilizing the advanced technology introduced from MNCs is an effective way to promote the levels and capabilities of innovation of science & technology of Jiangsu. At last, suggestions on how to construct a science & technology innovation system of Jiangsu are pointed out. As a developing province, Jiangsu must imitate the sophisticated technology transferred from MNCs and innovate in order to narrow the technology gap with the developed country, to realize fast technology development. With what has been done, we can prepare for taking the lead in innovation and lay a solid foundation for further development.
