The original sin is the essential concept of Christian theology. It is the starting point Christianity in logic. As Christian plays a fundamental role in western society, the notion of sin has rooted deep in people's mentality, and it has traced in social institution, so some scholars suppose that western culture "a culture of sense of guilty". In recent years, as people reflected on religion, the theory of original sin has been revitalized scholars analysed and constructed it from various angles and therefore reaped many creative fruit. However few would like to attempt it in the sense respect of law scope. It's a pity. Based on this, the author tries to analyse the legal connotation of the original sin. This dissertation consists of three parts, except the prelude and the conclusion. It goes as follows.Part one points out that the original sin is a theory of law. It analyses the basic characteristics of the including three aspects i.e. the theory of free will, the notion on sin and evil and theory of salvation and ransom. Through analysis, the original sin is actually a theory of law.Part two discusses the influence of the original sin on western law from notion to system. It analyses the original sin in three aspects in detail. According to the traditional point of the Christian theology, the free will of human being is endowed by God, while it is overused because of human's limitation hence it has diverged the original aim from God, thus the sin is produced. In respect of law, the theory of free will reminds that people would be responsible for the misbehavior, thus the original sin is connect4ed with law. Facing the worldly various evils, the Christian theologians formed a set of theory on sin and evil which produce large influence on western dual political system. Sin must be punished by God. Before the Last Trial, people would try to clear away his guilty through Jesus Christ's salvation, in order to come back to God. This theory produced a complete salvation and ransom system with legal force and interact with worldly law and institution.Part three presents the reflection and rebuilding of the original sin on the modern world. As the Enlightenment is flourishing," God is elusive", people don't consider that they are guilty and suppose they can solve all the problems by theirown will. But the catastrophe caused by two world wars and the difficult situation in facing criminal and environment problems, have caused people to reflect their own problems. Hie nation of sin has become the focus again. Thinkers have decoded and analysed the "sin" from every angle Hare, for instance, argues that it is religious symbol. Nebul pointed out that solution is the resumption of tradition and God. These initiative views bring hope for people in trouble.
