In recent years, a lot of phenomena have been caused by uncertain incident influenced on some node of a supply chain but spreading to the whole supply chain, which make the academia have to regard the supply chain as a whole system to research on the basis of only studying some and micro node of the supply chain in the past. Now, most of studies about supply chain system pay close attention to compositive mode, system structure, ripple effect, risk transmitting, and cooperative relation in the system. But seldom study the evolution and development of the supply chain and state that the whole system is in. While the states that supply chain system is in, including stable state and instable state, have the decisive meaning on the strategic policies of all enterprises in the whole system, and also have important influence on the development of the system. So the state of the supply chain has fairly research value. This text studies the course of evolution in the supply chain using theory of self-organization in the systems theory, and brings up the definition and characteristic of the instable state. It draws lessons from risk study of the supply chain in the supply chain and summarizes the quantitative indexes of the instable state and a series of factors causing it. It applies life cycle theory of the supply chain to study the inverting course of different states. It studies necessity of the existence of the controlling body in the system, brings forward the matched problem between the controlling methods and systematic state, and further studies the controlling obligation of the nuclear enterprise. The result shows: the state of the supply chain inverts from stable state to instable state when the supply chain reaches to new counterbalance only through the change of the structure due to the concussion of some factor, the change of systematic state also require the control method to shift from the maintenance and satisfactory in the stable state to agile reconfiguration in the instable state, and the inverting process of the system is possible to be optimized by systematic approach.
