This chapter will introduce Jia Yi's money thoughts from three respects mainly. In the light of the dangers of casting coins privately toward national politics steady and economic development, he proposed to monopolize the monetary material to control the money flow, regulate supply and demand, and realize the control over national economy finally. The argumentations that Jia Yi paid attention to the currency issue formed the rudiment of the QingZhong theory. At the same time, it indicated the beginning that economy policy would change from doing nothing against nature by government to promising enterprising in the Han Dynasty.Jia Yi's views fully proved comprehensive and successive in his economic theories. He summarized and developed the traditional economic thoughts of fore-holders, and posed his own characteristic theory respectively. Through the analysis of historical material, this text will attempt to present Jia Yi's economic theories, and show his important contribution in the history of China's economic thoughts and historical status from three above-mentioned aspects.
