Status Of Intra-industry Trade

After World War Two, a series of new trends occurred due to scientific and technological development and international competition variation. One is that trade happens mostly among developed countries, mainly within industries including large quantity of goods with similar factor intensity, which is unexplainable by conventional theory. Rapid development of intra-industry trade and consequential intensification of industrial competition in the international market unavoidably caused negative influence on developing countries, especially on China, when they participate international division. This thesis aims at introducing Intra-industry theory, analysis the condition and tendency of intra-industry worldwide and mainly analyze the condition, development and the existing problems of China's intra-industry trade so as to provide some new ideas for the development of China's intra-industry trade.There are four chapters in this thesis. Chapter one is to summarize the development of intra-industry trade and introduce the main theory modes briefly. Chapter two mainly studies the evolution of intra-industry trade, foresees intra-industry trade's development tendency. Chapter three demonstrate China's intra-industry trade condition. Chapter four points out the existing problems in China's intra-industry and the suggestion for it.
