Commercial bank is main body of finance industry in our country and plays an important role in economic and social development. It is vital to national economy and holds its safety. With continuously perfecting socialistic marketing economy system in our country, nation-owned commercial banks' reform achieves the climax which has not been seen before, not only in management, but also in operation. Commercial banks will be a compositive financial institution which is more complex in operation business. It is necessary to build an accounting method which can reflect a comparatively complex economic system and the relations within it exactly, roundly and clearly. Input-Output analysis is just one of these methods. Therefore, making Input-Output chart of commercial banks weighs much with the management of the banks.The paper discusses how to apply the Input-Output analysis method to commercial banks, makes the Input-Output chart for the banks and summarizes parts of functions of the chart. The paper is made of three parts as following:The first part describes the necessity and meaning of Input-Output analysis on commercial banks through introducing the development of commercial banks and Input-Output analysis.The second part combines the Input-Output analysis method and operation of commercial banks. Input-Output analysis method to commercial banks analyzes the economic activity of the bank, reflects the fund operation relation within the bank in some period. The method includes the Input-Output chart and the Input-Output mathematical model according to the chart.The last chapter introduces application of Input-Output analysis to commercial banks for building datamart, analysis of economic structure, forecasting, simulation analysis and report analysis.
