With the development of enterprises informanization construction, more attention has been paid to the problem of sharing information between various information systems. Though most of enterprise and government system are functionally strong, but their independence have not been adapted to ever-developing business needs. Therefore, in order to realize data sharing and business collaboration among systems in enterprises and government departments, there must exists a new integration method to link multiple systems in and across an enterprise, to form a distributed business Architectures under which resources can be shared and business process can be clubbed together. EAI(Enterprise Application Integration ,EAI)becomes an effective solution. EAI, as the combination of processes,software,standards and hardware resulting in the seamless integration of two or more enterprise systems allowing them to operate as one. EAI has become a hot issue in IT area. Its core technology is to attain the across-platform integration through middleware. This paper is arranged as follows: firstly, it summarizes the reason of EAI's coming into being and developing, and how significative it is to an enterprise. Secondly, it makes an introduction to the four elements including communication mode, integration method, middleware and service, which are important in designing EAI architecture. it emphases on the concept and classification of middleware. As a kind of middleware, MOM can achieve asynchronous communications in a distributed network environment. Then in the following part a detailed expatiation was made including the two architectures of MOM,two asynchronous communication models and java message service(JMS). Thirdly, this paper develops a framework of EAI platform that is based on MOM technology; the platform is made up of MOM system, Adaptor system and security services. After analyzing the functions of MOM and Adaptor, this paper will provide detailed designs of these two parts. Finally, on the basis of a practical project, this paper verifies the actual application effects of this EAI platform in an enterprise.
