Jiangsu Province, The Income Gap Between Urban And Rural Residents Empirical Research

With the deepening of reform and opening and the development of economy , traditional assignment system is gradually substituted by a new assignment system which is combination of distribution according to work and product factors, existence of several assignment mode of income . Accordingly , channel of resident income is becoming various. But in recent years peasantry's income increases very slowly and income gap between country and city becomes wide because of several factors . During the primary moment of socialism , the income gap between country and city is inevitable to a certain extent . But if we do not take some measures to control it, it will do harm to the development of economy and the stabilization of our social. In fact, the huge gap between country and city reflects that income of peasantry is very low . Therefore , how to increase income of peasantry and how to shorten the huge income gap becomes an inevitable problem in the development of Jiangsu Province .This paper analyzes the problem of gap between country and city from three aspects : firstly , we describe the present status of the gigantic gap between country and city in Jiangsu Province and compare it with that in our whole country . Though analysis we can draw a conclusion that the gap between country and city is expanding . And we also find that the income ratio between country and city in Jiangsu Province is lower than that in the whole country , but the trend of change is consistent basically . The correlation reflects a fact that the change between country and city effects by assignment system and policy completely . Secondly , we explain the positive and negative effects of the increasing gap between country and city , which is the basis of the following research . At last, we analyze the reasons form two aspects : first we analyze that dualistic economic structure is the deeply reason of the huge gap ; Second we do a further research through demonstration and construe some correlative factors by the numbers , such as labor > the increasing rate of small-medium enterprises.Through demonstration , we think that the dualistic economic structure in China is the deep-seated reason of the huge gap between country and city , and the dualistic economic structure is caused by a series of policies on the dualistic economic structure . This article put forwards some measures and policies from two facets : firstly , county an city must develop contemporary ; secondly , we must enhance the income of peasantry from various channels .In our country agriculture and peasantry has developed to a new stage , increasing the income of peasantry and shorten the gap between country and city is an important issue concerning the development of agriculture and the stabilization of our social. Therefore , it is very important for us to enhance the income of peasantry and shorten the gap between country and city , especially in Jiangsu Province.
