Yan Di(Emperor Yan),the Shen Nong(the Immortal Farmer) was the primogenitor of the Chinese nation, founder of agro-farming culture. Yan Di culture with agro-farming culture as its chief content is an important component of traditional Chinese culture. This paper starts with the intension of studying Yan Di culture, summarizes 13 great outstanding contributions Yan Di made for the nation. Yan Di culture is the source of traditional Chinese culture and starting point of the Chinese civilization of 5000 years, an important component of traditional Chinese culture. This paper also studies the relationship between Yan Di culture and Huang Di(peror Huang) culture and traditional Chinese culture, thus describes the significance in China's cultural construction of Yan Di culture.On this basis, this paper expounds the relationship between carriying forward Yan Di culture and developing the tourist resources in the imperial tomb district of Yan Di: The imperial tomb of Yan Di is the emperor's end-result terra, an important component of Yan Di culture, and also a symbol of Yan Di culture; To develop the imperial tomb zone is the common aspirations of hundreds of millions of descendants of both Yan Di and Huang Di, an important site to carry forward Yan Di culture, an important way to inherit and develop traditional Chinese culture, and also an important means to develop the economy of Yanling County. Developing the tourist resources in the imperial tomb zone can achieve the dual purposes of carrying forward Yan Di culture and even Chinese culture and maximizing the economic value of tourist economy in the imperial tomb zone.Analysis on the status quo of developing the tourist resources in the imperial tomb district of Yan Di. This paper analyses the characteristics of the tourist resources in the imperial tomb district of Yan Di. it puts forward five problems in the tourist resources in the imperial tomb district of Yan Di after the research on the status quo of it, and then analyses the reseasons of the problems after the research on the status quo of it, and then analyses the reseasons of the problems.The paper makes a research on the countermeasures from four points of developing the tourist resources in the imperial tomb district of Yan Di. At first, it believes that the government should play the leading role on the development of the travel economy;Next, in line with some theories of tourist economics, the paper makes a systematic introduction and analysis of the tourist resources in the imperial tomb zone. According to tourist economics theory, the paper, taking into consideration of the successful experiences of the travel economic development in Huang Di's imperial tomb zone and the reality of the economic development of Yanling County, pointes out that developing the tourist resources in the Yan imperial tomb zone have enormous potentiality, it will promote the economic development of Yanling County in an all-round way. In order to increase the appeal to visitors, and speed up the development of tourist economy of Yanling County, five new ideas and three major principles have been proposed in this paper, namely the idea of blessing in Yan Di cultural, the idea of four major famous imperial tombs, the idea of eco-tour, the cultural idea of folk custom and scientific investigation, principle of integration of the resources , stressing the characteristic principle and sustainable development principle. This paper makes a feasibility analysis of the tourist resources in the Yan imperial tomb zone. The research results have filled in the blank of research in the culture, folk custom, ecology, environmental protection, travel and economic values research in Yan emperor's imperial tomb zone, showing important theoretical and practical significance.
