The Study, Based On Third-party Military Logistics Structure Of The Military Logistics Center

With an eye to leading the third-party logistics (TPL), a new-style and effective pattern of logistic organization into military logistics field, this investigation discusses on constructing the third-party military logistics (TPML) based on military logistics center (MLC). The thesis includes six chapters, among which, the former five chapters are body part and chapter six concludes the whole investigation and looks ahead the future.In chapter one, the author first looks back how the searching was going on in the field of logistics and achievements obtained so far, introduces two basic concepts -military logistics and military logistics center, and then illustrates their characteristics and functions separately. At the same time, the author makes a necessary introduction about the train of thoughts, methods, content aim and points of innovation of this investigation.In chapter two, the paper discusses the significations of TPL and TPML, and points out the advanced character of this organization pattern by analyzing the significance in economics; Be established in current circumstances of holistic military logistics reformation, the paper demonstrates the inevitability of developing TPML in military logistics fields combined with features of military logistics.Chapter three puts emphasis on analyzing two assumptions about two different TPML models based on civil logistics system and MLC in theory group at present. The paper describes the two models' essential flow and their main characteristics, pointing out TPML model based on civil logistics system is fit for macroscopical fields in which military logistics system and civil economy are linked up with each other; whereas TPML model based on military logistics center is fit for the field inside military logistics system for self-operation. So the latter is the right choice and the paper also analyzes its applicability.Chapter four is the core part of this thesis. The author discusses TPML based on MLC at the aspects of structure and operation. On structure, the paper designs thesupply chain models for military district and network by using the flow chart, and elaborate basic functions and orientations of each organization inside; then as the foundation of the truss, constructive problem of MLC is discussed at the aspects of principles, functions and aim. On operation mode, the paper indicates delivery is the core of TPML operation, and elaborates each tache of trunk and branch flows, which are based on MLC and are for delivery operation, providing flow chart for delivery operation.Chapter five makes researches on the application of modern logistics technology in TPML. Based on the introduction of logistics technology system included in TPML, the paper uses modern logistics technology applied in Iraq War as evidence. At last, the paper analyzes the hiberarchy of modern logistics technology in TPML, pointing out the direction for our army in constructing TPML technology system.The sixth chapter concludes the whole thesis, pointing out some omits and aspects to be improved and studied further in the investigation.
