Rapid growth of foreign trade of our country causes a series of problems: firstly, foreign trade has become an important factor of promoting our country's economic growth, our country's dependence on foreign trade is gradually increasing; secondly, rapid growth of foreign trade of our country has made some countries feel pressed, trade sanctions on our country keep increasing, green trade wall has become an important factor of restraining foreign trade development of our country; thirdly, foreign trade development mode of "high consumption, high investment, low profit" has aggravated consumption of natural resources and environmental pollution of our country, extremely harmful to further economic development. In order to solve the above problems and promote smooth and stable development of foreign trade, on the premise of reducing consumption of resources and destruction of environment, it is necessary to realize foreign trade sustainable development. At present, there are many restricts of foreign trade sustainable development of our country, such as backward conception, irrational foreign trade structure, backward foreign trade and environment management system, increasing of international environment protection pressure and emergence of negative effect of entering WTO. The present is still the best historical period of our country to realize foreign trade sustainable development. Rapid growth of national economy during the past over 20 years has provided sufficient financial guarantee, the great amount of foreign exchange reserve and vigorous trade surplus of our country provide powerful economic backing to the realization of upgrading of industrial structure, upgrading of trade structure and improving of trade mode inappropriate to a big country.The status quo of foreign trade development is caused by difference in economic development stages and technical levels, and more importantly, by backward management mode and low management level. The realization of foreign trade sustainable development requires structuring of new foreign trade management mode according with rules of WTO and practical situation of our country. As the largest developing country, our country should correctly handle the relation between foreign trade development and environmental protection in the implementation of foreign trade sustainable development, resolutely resist against trade protectionism with environmental protection as excuse in international trade, maintain consistency of foreign trade sustainable development and the overall strategy of sustainable development of our country, fully use experience of developed countries for reference and exert advantages of subsequent development.The mode of foreign trade sustainable development must take theory of sustainable development and theory of circular economy as guidance, structure development evaluation system with comprehensive profit as core, set up and improve environmental management system benefiting foreign trade expansion and high-efficiency environmental management bodies, structure various environmental standards and law and code systems, reform and improve foreign trade management system of our country. In light of the government and industries, it is necessary to speed up adjustment of economic structure and industrial structure of our country, quicken industrialization, vigorously develop high-tech industries and environmental protection industry, promote development of service trade, promote adjustment and upgrading of foreign trade structure of our country, rationally direct international investment, extensively conduct international cooperation, improve trade promotion system of our country, direct enterprises of our country to set up interior environment management system.
