The taxicab is the most important secondary mass transportation tool in Chengdu City. Its speed and convenience compensate for the inadequacy of public transportation, making it the favorite mode of transportation for many people. In the development of politic and economic, it has also developed in the business of taxicab in recently twenty years. However, the problem representing in the business of taxicab focus on Poor Service. Accordingly, what the government department and taxicab operator concern is how to improve service quality and transportation circumstance for attracting more passenger. What the consumer concern is how to gain the satisfactory consume quality. Well then, how to estimate the service quality of taxicab in Chengdu , seek ask for the reason of the problem induce and bring forward the measure of improvement is the major content of this article.The thesis gives priority to the service quality of taxicab in Chengdu and takes three steps in the researching as follows. Firstly, proceeding with presentation the definition and theory to the service and service quality of the specialist and scholar, summing-up the characteristic of the taxicab service, and introducing the opinion of the passenger apperceiving service quality in the taxicab service.Secondly, combine the characteristic of the taxicab service in Chengdu, on the basis of the analysis model of the service quality gap, forming the analysis model of the service quality gap of Chengdu. By making use of the model, analysis the service quality of taxicab in Chengdu and look for the major influence factor of the five gaps in the model.Thirdly, in allusion to the major influence factor, combine the opinion and theory of marketing service, putting forward the improving measure of taxicab service in Chengdu.
